The Sparda study "Living in Germany 2023" proves it: the desire for security remains high, with 74% wanting to live in their own property. The demand is there, even if it is no longer comparable with the years of zero interest rates. Despite rising interest rates and construction costs, young couples still want to fulfill their dream of owning their own home and were looking for financing and subsidy options as well as inspiration for their own four walls at the trade fair. Saxony had reacted to the rise in construction prices and improved the "Family Living" program: the maximum permissible total expenditure for the creation or purchase of residential property was increased. It now amounts to EUR 535,000.00 for a four-person household with two children. The favorable interest conditions of 0.75 % p. a. and the fixed interest period of 25 years remain unchanged.
