The 29th edition of the HAUS construction fair will be held in Dresden from 7 March to 10 March 2019. Germany’s largest regional construction fair will see 550 exhibitors present the latest offers in construction, restoration, appointment and energy efficiency over more than 25,000 sq m at the booked-up Dresden Convention Centre. HAUS traditionally features all products and services relating to home-building – from roof tiles to floor tiles, from special drills to façade paint, from construction elements to turnkey homes. Under the motto of “Your own home with HAUS”, the fair responds to the demand in Dresden, a city which attracts young families, and provides information on home-building and real estate. Specialising in “barrier-free building and living”, the fair caters to the demographic developments taking place throughout the entire state. Another key area addressed by HAUS is “home and apartment security”, focusing on prevention in new constructions and renovations, while the special Smart Home feature provides details on this architectural concept. For the last 13 years, HAUS has run in conjunction with the ENERGIE trade exhibition, dedicated to energy efficiency in new constructions and renovations. The Saxon Energy Agency, SAENA GmbH, is this year once again supporting HAUS with its own trade forum entitled “Buildings – efficient, renewable & future-oriented”. The speakers’ brief presentations address a wide range of topics, such as energy efficiency upgrades in old buildings, construction of new energy-efficient buildings, improved efficiency in heating systems, and funding options for these construction measures. HAUS places great emphasis on consultancy, and the stands and lectures offer free initial consultations for potential construction clients, building owners and home owners. Regional tradespeople also impressively demonstrate their diversity, whether it be carpenters, cabinetmakers, painters and varnishers, sauna builders, interior decorators, stair builders, parquet flooring specialists, tilers or cockle stove builders. The exhibitors ensure all visitor questions about building, renovating or restoring are answered. Many attractive stands will provide suggestions on enhancing and redesigning your own four walls, such as pools, designer kitchens, tiled stoves, parquet flooring and handcrafted furniture. In addition to the goods and services, visitors can this year also look forward to an extensive programme with 150 presentations. Entry to HAUS costs € 10, concession € 8, which includes presentation attendance. HAUS is open daily from 10am to 6pm, offering free child-care facilities on all days.
