Start of the major HAUS construction fair in Dresden

Förderungen und Frühling sorgen für Aufbruchstimmung

Spring is here and with it the major HAUS construction trade fair in Dresden - Saxony's start to the building season since 1991. From 7 to 10 March, over 400 exhibitors from seven countries will provide an overview of the current range of products and services in all areas of planning, building and renovating residential property throughout the Dresden exhibition grounds. Full exhibition halls, attractive exhibition stands and lots of new products - the exhibitors come from the fields of construction, building materials and elements, trade, building technology and property. For over 30 years, HAUS has been presenting all product and service areas relating to the home - from roof tiles to floor tiles, from building elements to turnkey houses. Building is always happening - the property market is on the move again, prices and interest rates have fallen, subsidies that had been stopped can be applied for again. The current increase in funding for housing construction in Saxony is also providing a boost. The ‘Rural home ownership’ subsidy guideline will be offered again from April. In rural areas, i.e. outside of Chemnitz, Dresden and Leipzig, households without children can also receive support for the construction or purchase of residential property, as well as for the renovation or extension of existing residential property. This opens up new opportunities: from the dream home to the dream house - HAUS shows the entire spectrum, from the affordable modular house to the popular timber house, from replacement new builds to the renovation of existing properties.only in eastern Germany will the home ownership rate be around 5 per cent higher in ten years, where there are more unfulfilled housing aspirations and better opportunities to turn them into reality - favoured above all by more affordable building land. These are the findings of a study by empirica and LBS Research. In addition, in 2024 the construction trade fair will also stand for proven topics such as ‘Meeting Point Roof’ and ‘Wood as a Building Material’ through to innovations - from the solar flower to the world first ‘Modern Heating Technology Meets Meissen Porcelain’. The 16th ENERGY trade exhibition with its advisory services will once again be integrated into HAUS and will provide information on new heating subsidies and energy-efficient building refurbishment, among other things. The building fair will again be complemented by an extensive programme, including the Building Law Day, the 5th Planners' Day and the presentation of the new Saxon State Award “Building Practice of the Future”. The trade fair is open from Thursday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Admission costs 12 euros, concessions 10 euros, which includes participation in the lecture programme. There are attractive discounts for advance online ticket sales at www.baumesse-haus.de. A new feature is the Young People's Ticket of 5 euros for anyone under 30 - available online or at the box office.
