30 years HAUS

30 years of HAUS - that's well over a million visitors in total, and more than 4,500 companies have participated as exhibitors so far. In March 2020, the HAUS construction trade fair will celebrate its 30th anniversary, with 500 exhibitors expected on over 20,000 square meters of exhibition space. In June 1991, the 1st HAUS construction trade fair is launched in Dresden under the title "1st regional trade exhibition" with over 250 exhibitors and 10,000 square meters of exhibition space.

1992 - HAUS grows, with over 300 exhibitors coming to the second Dresden construction exhibition. According to the press, HAUS becomes the "Mecca for all house builders". In 1993, HAUS finally found its permanent place in the Dresden trade fair calendar - since then it has always offered a comprehensive overview of the market at the end of February/beginning of March, just in time for the start of the building season. At HAUS '94, Dresden's then Head of Construction Reinhard Keller welcomed the more than 400 exhibitors with the words: "This is the right trade fair at the right time in the right place". And this statement has held true over the years: the timing, location and concept of HAUS have proven to be ideal for the local construction industry.

Roland Zwerenz, Managing Director of organizer ORTEC, puts it in a nutshell: "HAUS is a firm fixture in the diaries of companies in the construction industry as well as architects, construction planners and builders in the region." HAUS is characterized by a particularly high proportion of regular exhibitors of over 70%, and several exhibitors have been there from the very beginning.
